After a break due to the pandemic, the Automotive Testing Expo Europe will be making its comeback in Stuttgart, Germany, from 21 to 23 June. Along with its sister shows in the United States and Asia, it is the leading international exhibition for automotive testing, development, and validation technologies. As one of the leading international testing service providers, DEKRA will be back at the trade show in Stuttgart this year.

DEKRA offers a wide range of services for the automotive and automotive supply industries. These include design verification testing and complete vehicle validation, type approval and homologation compliance testing, as well as material, component, EMC and RF testing in the product and component segments. The organization focuses on the vehicles and transportation services of the future, with a particular emphasis placed on automated and connected driving as well as e-mobility services.
DEKRA’s large number of laboratories and testing locations – including in the Netherlands, in Germany, Spain and the United States as well as in Asia – with each having its own focus. The Technology Center at the DEKRA Lausitzring specializes in testing and homologation for automated vehicles. The DEKRA site in Málaga, Spain, is notable for its unique expertise in the field of wireless communication, which also provides the foundation for connected driving tests. DEKRA’s competence center for charging infrastructure and EMC vehicle testing is located in the Netherlands and the laboratories in Asia provide a wide scope of services. The international network of testing locations for connected, automated and electric vehicles offers DEKRA’s customers a one-stop shop for the organization’s comprehensive services.
The highlight of DEKRA’s appearance at the Automotive Testing Expo (Hall 8, Booth 8134) is an interactive 3D model of the state-of-the-art test tracks at the DEKRA Lausitzring. DEKRA acquired the racetrack in November 2017 and it is now part of Europe’s largest manufacturer-independent inspection and testing center for automated and connected driving.
The ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo will be running parallel to the Automotive Testing Expo at the Messe Stuttgart exhibition center. And DEKRA will be there to provide a specialist presentation. As part of the conference program on the third day of the event, Thomas Jäger (Senior Vice President and Head of Technical Service Management in the Product Testing Service Division at DEKRA) will speak about the latest developments in V2X technology and the current regulatory and certification situation. He will also discuss the testing requirements associated with connected and automated driving.
